Frequently Asked Questions

The Limited Release Product Drawing allows interested individual consumers to enter drawings to randomly secure the opportunity to purchase specific wine or spirits products at the advertised prices established by the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission (NHLC). Each Limited Release Product Drawing conducted by the NHLC may involve one or more single bottle wine or spirit product code or one or more multi-bottle package wine or spirit product code.  Separate individual consumer drawings will be conducted for each single bottle product code and multi-bottle package product code made available for sale through a Limited Release Product Drawing.  There is no cost to enter.  Individuals must be at least 21 years of age to enter.

Why did the NHLC develop and implement the Limited Release Product Drawing?
The NHLC developed and implemented the Limited Release Product Drawing in an effort to equitably distribute wine and spirit products that are released by manufacturers or suppliers in limited quantities and generate considerable consumer demand.

What products will be made available through a Limited Release Product Drawing?
The NHLC retains the sole discretion to select the product codes or brands that will be made available for sale through a Limited Release Product Drawing. The products made available through such a drawing will generally be limited-release products.

What prices apply to the products made available through a Limited Release Product Drawing?
The NHLC retains the sole discretion to determine the retail prices for wine and spirit items offered for sale through a Limited Release Product Drawing.

How will available Limited Release Product Drawing inventory be distributed?
The NHLC will attempt to equitably distribute the inventory of products made available and deemed Limited Release items for sale through the Limited Release Product Drawing. The NHLC will similarly attempt to equitably distribute any multi-bottle package wine and spirit product codes if and when they become available. The NHLC may also withhold or move certain quantities of its available inventory in order to satisfy operational needs.

Who can participate in a Limited Release Product Drawing?
Each Limited Release Product Drawing conducted by the NHLC will be open to individual consumers who are at least 21 years of age.

In order to be eligible to participate in any Limited Release Product Drawing, individual consumers must sign up or have an existing customer profile at www.liquorandwineoutlets.com/ with complete and accurate information on file through the Customer Profile. Only consumers entered into the limited release list with a completed profile, who are at least 21 years of age, have provided a verifiable mailing address, and have designated a valid New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet (NHLWO) for their pick up location are eligible to participate in a Limited Release Product Drawing.

Employees of NHLC, its licensees, advertising and promotional partners, local brokers and suppliers and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.

May I create or use multiple accounts for purposes of entering a Limited Release Product Drawing?
No. The creation or use of multiple NHLWO Consumer Profiles for purposes of participating in a Limited Release Product Drawing is strictly prohibited. Anyone suspected of engaging in this prohibited conduct may be disqualified from participating in current and future Limited Release Product Drawings.

May I register an account on behalf of someone else?
No. Each individual consumer is responsible for creating and maintaining his or her own Consumer Profile. The use of proxy profiles for purposes of participating in a Limited Release Product Drawing is strictly prohibited. Anyone suspected of engaging in this prohibited conduct may be disqualified from participating in current and future Limited Release Product Drawings.

When can I sign up to participate in a Limited Release Product Drawing?
Interested individual consumers 21 years of age or over may sign up for a customer account at www.liquorandwineoutlets.com at any time throughout the year. Customers, who have set up a customer account and have selected the option of being entered as a participant in all Limited Release Product Drawings, will automatically be entered into each Limited Release Product Drawing.

How do I submit an entry for a particular product code drawing conducted as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing?
In order to submit an entry for a specific product drawing conducted as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing, an individual consumer must sign in to his or her customer account at www.liquorandwineoutlets.com and submit an entry.

How many entries may I submit during the same Limited Release Product Drawing?
Each individual consumer may submit a maximum of one entry per each product drawing conducted as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing.  Any individual consumer who submits, or is suspected of submitting, multiple entries for the same product code drawing may be disqualified from participating in current and future Limited Release Product Drawings.

There is also a limit of one entry per household or billing address for each product drawing conducted as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing. If more than one entry is submitted for the same Limited Release product drawing by different individuals living in the same household or sharing a billing address, the NHLC may either disqualify all entries or accept only the first entry received from that household or billing address.

How many items may I purchase during the same Limited Release Product Drawing?
Individual consumers will be permitted to purchase a maximum of one item per person during the same Limited Release Product Drawing, regardless of the number of product code drawings conducted or entered.

A maximum of one item may be purchased by individual consumers living in the same household or sharing a billing address as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing.

How will the drawings be conducted?
The drawing will take place only online. The website address and the time of the drawing will be listed in the e-mail notification. The website will display a form that the user can fill out stating that they are interested in purchasing the limited release product. Once active, the form will be accessible for 48 hours. Customers may enter the drawing during that 48-hour period. The store preference listed in the customer’s profile cannot be changed after entry. Only one entry per customer will be accepted. Once the 48-hour period has closed, entries will be drawn at random.

All drawings will be administered by an independent party. The NHLC will review all selected entries following their selection to verify the eligibility of the entrant and the entry. The NHLC reserves the right to disqualify entries at any time, and the NHLC’s decisions relative to such matters shall be final and non-appealable.

What happens if my entry is selected?
Once the entries have been selected and verified for all product drawings conducted as part of a Limited Release Product Drawing event, the NHLC will send the product to the selected NHLWO location on file in the customer profile and will notify the selected entrant when it is ready for pick up.  The selected entrant must purchase the product within 14 calendar days of notification that the product has arrived at the NHLWO. The selected entrant must purchase the product in person and must present a valid picture ID with correct name and address on file with the NHLC at the time of purchase. No agent or third-party may purchase the selected product on behalf of the selected entrant.

Selection of an entry does not convey or entitle the entrant to receive any right or title to any product owned and offered for sale by the NHLC; it merely creates an opportunity to make a purchase as otherwise set forth herein.

What happens if I do not complete my purchase within 14 calendar days of notification?
The product is forfeited and the NHLC may either conduct another drawing to give another consumer the chance to purchase the product or release the product for sale in the manner that NHLC deems most appropriate based on operational needs.

It is strongly recommended that customers take extra care to supply a valid e-mail address and exercise any other necessary steps to ensure that e-mails sent by the NHLC can be received. The NHLC is not responsible for any issues arising from sent e-mail notifications being blocked, diverted, deleted, or otherwise not received.

What happens to the inventory associated with orders that are unable to be processed?
If a selected entrant’s order is unable to be processed because of payment issues, or if the entry of a selected entrant is determined to no longer be eligible for any other reason, the item associated with that entry may be subject to a second drawing, to the extent that any other eligible entries remain in the applicable customer drawing pool for that product code.

What happens if my entry is not selected?
Entrants whose entries are not selected during any Limited Release Product Drawing will be notified via e-mail after the conclusion of the Limited Release Product Drawing event. Each entrant’s name will remain on the list for future Limited Release Product Drawings until such time as the customer requests that his or her name be removed or the customer’s contact information is no longer valid.  It is the entrant’s responsibility to update his or her Customer Profile information with the NHLC to continue to receive communications from the NHLC.

What happens when items are broken, damaged, or lost?
If an item is broken, damaged, or otherwise lost prior at the time of pick up and purchase at the store—whether by the supplier, shipping company or the NHLC, the customer will be offered the first bottle of like product to be allocated to New Hampshire prior to the Limited Release Product Drawing taking place. Additionally, the NHLC is not responsible for and will not offer any compensation for any product breakage, damage, or loss that may occur after a winning entrant has taken possession of a product.

Is it permissible to resell items purchased through a Limited Release Product Drawing?
Items offered for sale to individual consumers through a Limited Release Product Drawing are not intended for resale. The sale of alcoholic beverages without a license is strictly prohibited under New Hampshire law.

Items offered for sale to licensees may be resold by the purchasing licensee only to the extent authorized by the particular type of license held by that licensee.

What happens to individual consumers who violate the terms and conditions of the Limited Release Product Drawing?
Anyone who violates the applicable terms and conditions may be disqualified from participating in current and future Limited Release Product Drawings. The NHLC may also disqualify any individual consumer suspected of engaging in any conduct intended to circumvent the applicable terms and conditions or otherwise gain an unfair advantage over other entrants from participating in current and future Limited Release Product Drawings. The NHLC’s decisions relative to such matters are final and non-appealable.
